How Atlas Snag uses AI

AI is optional and assistive. The evidence and the user’s verification remain primary.

Normal photo analysis

Atlas can analyse a supplied inspection photo and draft a visual summary/observation. It can also suggest a report section and inspection element. The user must confirm the result.

Compare To

A second reference image can be supplied. Atlas should describe visible similarities and differences only and should not invent hidden causes, dimensions or history.

Observation criteria

The user can enter criteria describing what the AI should focus on. Criteria guide the analysis but do not turn the output into a verified test or compliance decision.

Count Similar

Atlas can estimate the number of similar visible items. Counts can be wrong because of overlap, occlusion, image quality, perspective or ambiguous objects. The result is stored separately so it can be checked and exported, but the user must verify the final quantity.

Record Receipt

Atlas can transcribe visible supplier, date, item, net, VAT and total information from a receipt/invoice image. This is transcription assistance, not accounting or tax advice. Every figure should be checked against the source document.

Data safeguards

Do not use AI with confidential, sensitive or personal information unless your organisation has a lawful basis/permission and has assessed the provider/data risk. Use the minimum information necessary.

Final responsibility

AI output should never be treated as automatically correct. The person carrying out or approving the inspection remains responsible for the final observation, classification, status/priority, count, cost data, recommendation and report.
